Grounding Techniques

 

  • Step outside: Feel the ground beneath your feet. Notice the breeze, the sun, or the scent of the air.

  • Connect with a pet: Stroke their fur, feel their warmth, and take in their steady, peaceful presence.

  • 5-4-3-2-1 reset: Look around and name:
5 things you can see
4 things you can touch
3 things you can hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste


Simple Breathing Exercise: The Sigh Breath

  • Inhale deeply through your nose.

  • Let out a slow, audible sigh through your mouth.

  • Repeat 3-5 times, feeling tension melt away with each exhale.


3 Questions for a Fresh Perspective

When things aren’t going as planned, gently ask yourself:

  • How can life get better than this?

  • What else is possible here?

  • What is right about this that I’m not seeing?
