  • Let anyone you share space with know you’ll need quiet time.
     

Set Your Intention

  • Before you begin, take a few slow, deep breaths.

  • Gently ask yourself: “What would I like to welcome today?” (e.g., calm, confidence, clarity)

  • Hold that intention lightly as you begin — no need to force or overthink it.
     

Clear and Prepare Your Space

  • Light sage, palo santo, or a candle if that resonates with you — or say a quiet prayer or blessing.

  • Tidy the area where you’ll sit or lie down. Removing clutter helps signal your mind that it’s time to relax.

  • Choose a comfortable chair, cushion, or bed where you can rest undisturbed.
     

Create a Comfort Ritual

  • Have water nearby, and maybe a cozy blanket.

  • Dim the lights or close the curtains if that helps you relax.

  • Consider soft background sounds (gentle music, ocean waves) if that helps you settle.
