California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT #124611)
Children & Adolescents - Parenting - Family Therapy - Play Therapy - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - Tele-health Provider
My Education and Experience:
After an 11-year career working with young children and their families in early childhood settings, I realized the impact that our earliest experiences play in our life as we mature. After graduating in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology I have worked in a variety of settings and with ages 3 to 65+. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist my passion is helping adults, children and their families move through periods of life adjustments to build stronger attachments and healthy boundaries. I have experience working with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and life adjustments in a community mental health setting. My specialty is working with children and adolescents who are struggling with behavioral problems that are interfering in their relationships with family, friends, and time at school. I also work with children who have experienced traumatic events, anxiety, ADHD, and low self-esteem.

My Approach:
I believe, at any age having healthy relationships, both with others and ourselves will serve as our foundation for emotional, mental, and behavioral wellness. I am interested in understanding your lived experiences and the systems you live and work in. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is important in this process, and I work to create a warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment to make sure you are comfortable sharing about your life. I use a combination of play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused, and human centered approaches to create space for children, adolescents, and adults to process their emotions and communicate their feelings, while identifying strengths and coping skills that will work for them. I can also provide positive parenting techniques and family therapy as you and your child move through this process. I am here to hold space and provide the support necessary to assist you and/or your child with skills to help regulate their emotions and to have a better understanding of their big feelings.
A Bit More About Me:
I am a native San Diegan and in my free time I enjoy being with family and friends, exploring new restaurants and cool places our beautiful city has to offer. My favorite days are spent relaxing at home cheering on the Padres (Go Pads) or enjoying the beach. I love to cook, read, and am learning to crochet.
