Edith Romero-Cabral

California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT #126863)
- Anxiety - Life Transitions - Spirituality - Stress
My Education and Experience:

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#126863), and have treated adolescents and young adults for more than 8 years. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the beautiful University of British Columbia, and later returned to sunny California to complete my Master’s degree in Counseling, at California State University, Northridge. I have worked in outpatient treatment centers, community mental health centers, as well as academic settings.

My Approach to Therapy:

Through my own meaningful practices, personal journey of growth, and additional training, I have developed a passion for incorporating a variety of mindfulness-based tools which include grounding exercises, sound therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, self-compassion talks, guided visualizations, and more, all with the intention of teaching enhanced awareness to my clients. I am passionate about working with individuals who struggle with day-to-day anxiety and adjustment difficulties, who seek to clarify and transform uncertainty into opportunity. Therapy with me is lighthearted, warm, genuine, and playful. I feel that it is so important to model authenticity and vulnerability while helping clients to grow.

A Bit More About Me:

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cuddling with my two cats Frankie and Louie (who may occasionally hop on to our session), traveling, and spending time in nature. Meditation and spiritual practices are also a core part of my professional and personal identity, and I love to include these practices not only with my clients, but in my own daily routine. I look forward to hearing from you, and beginning our journey together.
